Warsaw

We had a team day in Warsaw. What a nice trip, even though not everyone could make it. The idea was to have a photohunt in a middle of a strange country where you don't speak the language, and see how the surrounding "speaks" to you. Well, it was raining most of time, so the beer and sausages were speaking to me a lot more than any outdoor activity.

We did have one exciting adventure. If you know the Stalin's palace or Stalin's tower in the middle of Warsaw, you know that in order to get up to the viewing floor (floor 30 or 32) you need to pay. Well, some of us felt adventurous, and went in through the Kinoteka movie theater door in the opposite side of the building. We were going through doors and empty halls, finding the most unusual dark, quiet rooms with nothing but dust and a surveillance camera. I was expecting to get arrasted any minute. Once we made it to upper floors which is where the offices are, we asked the cleaning ladies how we could see outside. They were very friendly, but still they didn't let us in the offices to peak out of windows. In the end we went to the main lobby and paid our fee like good tourists. The view was well worth the ticket, plus the exciting adventure.
