China calling

My phone rang this morning. The country code was +86 so I was a bit curious who would be calling me from Asia on a Sunday morning. I answered the phone but no one was speaking. Instead I heard very clear backgound noices from a public place, a mall or a railway station with lots of people speaking chinese. I u-hood on the phone for a while and listened to different chinese conversations coming from the background. No one spoke to me. It was a pocket call from China! Think how small the world has become with mobile phones, internet and email. Ten years ago you would hardly be getting planned phone calls from China, let alone calls by mistake. Is it a good thing? I guess everyone can judge for themselves, but this one certainly cheered up my day.
