Survey: Women 40+ and mobile technology

I hope you've already visited Nanovalo.net, our initiative to collect data from women 40+ on their usage of mobile phones and services. The purpose of this study is to understand why women do or do not use all the capabilities of their (smart)phones. The reasons may be as many as there are respondents, but so far our statistics show that women do not feel that these services are developed or offered for them. They feel outsiders to this whole mobile movements.

If I was a mobile phone manufacturer (which I am..), mobile operator or a mobile service provider, I would be worried (which I am). Women outlive men, and as baby boomers get older they have more free time and money at their hands. Enjoying mobile services is something that they could well do, if only encouraged a bit. The devices should be designed so that they are appealing to this group, retailers and operators need to target them (or...us... I should reveal my age by now...), and services should be developed to our needs.

Please help complete the study and fill a questionnaire here. You can also help spread the message by joining the cause in Facebook.
