History fast forward

Here's a real wow effect. Gapminder, a Swedish non-profit organization has developed a tool for visualizing different health and wealth related changes in the world. What looks like a boring, static chart comes alive with a click of Play button. You can see how countries grow richer, change positions and race against each other on various parameters. Fantastic!

Also check out the videos where professor Hans Rosling explains these charts in a lively and charismatic way. Can the developing countries reach our standard of living? Can global child mortality goals ever be reached? Health, money and sex in Sweden. Do Chimpanzees know more than Swedish students? Brilliant.
