Visitor statistics from March
On February 20th, I had 1000 readers to this blog. I was ecstatic. Apparently people have liked what I've been scribbling here, as the numbers have tripled since.
During the month of March, the blog had 3588 visits, and 2332 feed subscribers. Now, I have to say that I'm not quite sure how to interpret the numbers that my service provider collects for me. On one hand, the tool shows the number of visits, i.e. how many times the blog has been visited, this was 3588. But the feed subscribers are really unique subscribERs, i.e. 2332 different people. This can only mean that either "visits" actually mean unique individual visitORs, or the feed subscribers are not inlcuded in direct visits. The statistics FAQ offer no help.
Either way, I am thankful, honored and speechless about the interest that you have towards this blog.
PS: Godaddy sucks! Godaddy is the domain name provider who has got me locked in their services because I bought too many URLs and related services from them, and now I can't get out any more. The vague statistics info is just one irritating thing. Their service is down too many times, their pages too complicated and load slowly, their tools keep improving in features but not in usability (for example, the color you pick for one bar is not memorised, so if I want the same color for another bar I have to take a wild guess and click the mouse exactly on the same pixel on a big square of fading colors). Their service staff is helpful, and they reply fast but because of the time difference there is a 24 hour gap before I get my problem solved.

Another example of "Godaddy sucks". When I realised I had made a mistake with the statistics, confusing 3588 visits and visitors (for which I blame them of cours, for confusing subscribers and visits), I went back to edit the entry. The edited version is visible when you open the entry, but the preview on front page insists on previewing the original entry.
I would like to change to another service provider, but how will I know I won't end up locked in by some other greedy company? I have 6 URLs, two website editing tools, one blog, one discussion forum and I don't know how many emails from this one. Transferring all of them over to someone else´, with all their history, is not something I can do easily.
Any good ideas, anyone?
