Chart of the Day
I received a couple of interesting Charts of the Day from the Silicon Alley Insider. The Technology Hype Curve made it as my wallpaper (temporarily) replacing the Symbian heart. It's full of data, and unfortunately I haven't had the time to look deep into what's inside. Hopefully I'll be staring at it in some boring meeting long enough to be able to make some comments on the content. If you have opinions, please post a comment.
Anything on speech recognition, context delivery architecture, especially welcome. What are mobile robots?
The second chart wouldn't normally move me much. I'm more interested in technology (and what it can do), rather than following individual gadgets, percentages and market shares. However, the grossly uneducated news pieces that we've been reading lately on Nokia and Symbian made me post this one, too.

- Nokia smartphones=Symbian (former S60)
- Nokia phones= (former ISA), S30, S40, (possibly some of mid-range Symbian/S60 are included, I'm not sure)
- Nokia internet tablets=Maemo

Definitely agree with what you stated. Your explanation was certainly the easiest to understand. I tell you, I usually get irked when folks discuss issues that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail right on the head and explained out everything without complication. Maybe, people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.

All the charts and the information that you have provided, is showing that Nokia could wind up stuck only at the low margin, low end of the industry, if it kept on going at the present rate.
