Nokia World, day 1
This entry has been edited on Sept, 6th.
I've been exploring the Nokia World event all day, shooting video and taking pictures. It's been a great day, seen good demos, interesting technology concepts and real new products, like the N900, X6 and N97 mini.
Both OPK and Anssi gave a relaxed and confident presentation, which were well received by the audience and press. According to Anssi, Nokia is not on the defensive, but on offensive. OPK was even taking some dance steps, and cracking a joke about his (lack of) charisma. See the keynotes webcasted on the event page.
Daniel Pink's keynote was the perfect way to end presentations. He spoke about the growing mismatch on what science already knows, but business doesn't do. For example, he presented research results on how financial incentives can result in a negtive impact on overall performance. He also found many links to open source software development, exploring with the ideas of
- Autonomy
- Mastery
- Purpose

I got to play w/ the N900 very briefly a few weeks ago and I must say that I was awestruck. I really hope Nokia releasea a Maemo phone for AT&T's network.

With that in mind, we've put together our key takeaways from the show:
1. Nokia IS on the defensive a little bit
2. It's all about the maps this year
3. The N900 is Nokia's best smartphone ye

The bberry curv is such a piece of shit I hate it. This phone freezes up so much its not even funny. The when you take the battery out and turn it back on it takes a fucking hour to boot up. What's up with that. Oh and the battery life sucks buy the way. So fuck bberry and there phones the only thing that there good for is to piss me off. Get an htc or iphone. Fuck bberry waste of money

Nokia has been the biggest cellphone maker in the world. And though they are the leading cellphone brand, additional features may encourage other and also can be enjoyed by their users. The Nokia Money can be a great help especially for busy people. Many might be needing fast cash to avail this new Nokia service.
